Time Domain Measurement System for Electric Field of Radio Interference Generated by Corona Discharge

Abstract When corona discharge occurs around the wire, it will be accompanied by movement of space charge, and then generate effects such as radio interference audible noise. In order to reveal time domain characteristics electric field generated discharge, a set measurement systems for interference, including oscillator antenna, sampling resistance, data acquisition system, is developed. Based on corona-generated antenna theory, size equivalent circuit model, selection resistance are discussed carefully satisfy requirements interference. To verify effectiveness an experimental platform with single source built, waveforms current simultaneously measured. Besides, attenuation law obtained using system. The results show that amplitude measured voltage decreases exponentially distance. system presented in this paper can lay solid foundation time-domain evaluation level discharge.
